Timberwolves lose 107-101 to Nets in NBA exhibition

Cam Thomas scored the final four points on free throws in the last 12.7 seconds as the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Timberwolves 107-101 in an exhibition game Thursday night at the Barclays Center in New York.

The Timberwolves trailed 84-75 after three quarters but pulled within 103-101 on Jake Layman's dunk with 1:14 remaining before Thomas' free throws, his only points of the game, sealed Brooklyn's victory.

Joe Harris went 7-for-10 on three-pointers and scored 23 points to lead the Nets. Anthony Edwards scored 23 for the Wolves.

Minnesota went 11 of 44 on three-point attempts and shot 41% overall (38 of 92).
