With the Timberwolves offseason beginning right after the regular season, again, I’ve decided to start assimilating to the social media trend that is Throwback Thursday. Each Thursday, I’ll look back at previous games or moments in Timberwolves history.
I’ll start with what is probably the best moment in the history of the franchise. In 2004, the Timberwolves, led by the three-headed monster that was Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell, and Latrell Sprewell, defeated the Sacramento Kings in what was an exhilarating series that took all seven games to decide.
The NBA MVP Kevin Garnett had multiple remarkable performances in the series, most notably his performance in Game 7 of the series in which he put the entire team on his back.
