Rudy Gobert got off to a slow start this season, averaging 8.6 points through the first five games of the season. I'll admit I was concerned; he looked passive, and at 33, decline starts to become a possibility. However, over the past five games, Gobert has made me (and others) look foolish for doubting him.
During the past five games, Gobert has averaged 12.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. This includes a monster Sunday night game against Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings, where Gobert posted 19 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks. In fact, the Wolves are now 5-0 when Gobert scores 10 or more points.
