Minnesota Timberwolves: What this offseason means for Tyus Jones

Tyus Jones and his agent recently spoke with the Timberwolves organization after the season ended about his playing time in the near future. Jones believes he deserves a bigger role on the team, and the Wolves assured him that he would get that role because Jamal Crawford will opt-out of his contract.

“Sources told Sporting News that Jones met with team management after the playoffs, and Thibodeau reasserted his support of Jones and his development. Even if the Wolves re-sign [Derrick] Rose, Jones was assured his minutes and opportunities would increase because [Jamal] Crawford is not expected to return to the team.
