One of the key reasons the Minnesota Timberwolves acquired Ricky Rubio on draft night was to provide leadership and a mentor to the team’s young guards, including Anthony Edwards.
During the NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves shocked fans by trading the No. 17 pick for point guard Ricky Rubio and two late first-round picks.
Fans were excited when they heard that the former Wolves point guard would be making his return to the team that drafted him.
