The Philadelphia 76ers were the early season darlings of the NBA. ‘The Process’ was becoming fully realized, Joel Embiid has been largely healthy, playing in 21 of 25 possible games, plus the additions of a healthy Ben Simmons and this year’s No. 1 overall pick in Markelle Fultz.
As it stands on Dec. 12, the Sixers have lost four straight games, which is their longest such streak of the season, and their record sits at 13-13. Fultz hasn’t played in six weeks due to a shoulder injury, Robert Covington is out with a back injury, and Embiid has missed the past couple of games due to back tightness of his own.
