Unlike in previous years, the Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot of work to do in the regular season and the playoffs before fans even begin to turn their attention to the NBA Draft. However, you can bet your bottom dollar the scouts and front office staff are already knee-deep in wading through the draft prospects.
Although Minnesota won’t hold their own first round pick if they make the playoffs (owed to the Atlanta Hawks through the Adreian Payne trade), they will likely still have a pick having swapped Ricky Rubio for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s lottery-protected first rounder.
