A man with what he calls a platform to protect, Timberwolves star Karl Anthony-Towns was asked after Friday's comeback home victory over Houston if he had any response to recent mass shootings in Atlanta and the increase in violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
Yes, he did.
"It's so sad," he said. "There's so many great people in this world and the situation is sad because to be discriminated like that, it doesn't belong in this world. It doesn't belong in society. I send all my prayers and condolences to all the families affected and everyone in that community.
