The native of Senegal will join Team Africa in the league's first exhibition game on August 1, 2015.
The NBA announced Tuesday that Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng will play in the the NBA's first exhibition in Africa.
The initial report of the scheduled game came back in April, and team captains were named. Miami Heat forward Luol Deng will lead Team Africa, and Clippers guard Chris Paul will head up Team World. Paul is also president of the NBPA.
Deng said the following in April:
"I am extremely proud to be a part of the NBA's first game in Africa.
