Minnesota Timberwolves big man Jesse Edwards didn't play much during his rookie season. The Dutch center was on a two-way contract with the Wolves after going undrafted in 2024. He appeared in just two games with Minnesota, totalling five minutes. After the Wolves signed Enrique Freeman and Tristen Newton picked up his qualifying offer, they parted ways with Edwards. Now, Edwards is taking his talents to the NBL to play for Australia's Melbourne United squad.
It's understandable why the Timberwolves let Edwards go, especially after drafting Joan Beringer and Rocco Zikarsky. Notably, Zikarsky is taking up a two-way spot, and Beringer appears to be the Wolves' center of the future.
