Timberwolves News: Thaddeus Young Out Indefinitely Following Mother's Death

Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Thaddeus Young will be out indefinitely following the death of his mother, Lula Hall, on Thursday.

Young's mother had been battling complications from her bout with breast cancer, per Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders. Young left the team after Wednesday's loss to the Houston Rockets in Mexico City.

''Fortunately for him, he was able to get home and have a chance to talk to his mother before she passed away,'' Saunders said after Friday's shootaround, via John Reid of NOLA.com. ''Our sentiments go out to him and his family. He's part of our family. She was part of our family. It's a sad day for everybody.''

Young, who was born in New Orleans, is not expected back for Minnesota's game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. He is currently the team's third-leading scorer with 15.7 points per contest.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Young and his family during this difficult time.
