Women's hockey: Hannah Brandt makes history as Gophers rout Bemidji State

Hannah Brandt moved her name atop the Minnesota record books on Saturday in her typical gritty fashion.

The senior forward started her night off by scoring her 100th career goal nearly lying on the ice, and she picked up six points in the Gophers' 8-3 victory over No. 4 Bemidji State at Ridder Arena to move past Natalie Darwitz as the program's all-time leading scorer.

The victory gave No. 3 Minnesota (11-1, 9-1) its fifth sweep of the season.

"Every bounce seemed to go in for me tonight," Brandt said. "Just one of those games, I guess.
