WNBA draft: Amanda Zahui B. taken by Tulsa with No. 2 pick

Amanda Zahui B. became the University of Minnesota's highest-drafted women's basketball player since 2005 when the Tulsa Shock made her the No. 2 pick in the WNBA draft on Thursday night.

Zahui B., who averaged 18.8 points, 12.9 rebounds and 4.1 blocks in leading the Gophers to their first NCAA tournament since 2009, decided to forgo her final two seasons in college.

"I'm going to play against the best players in the world every day and practice with them," she said on ESPN. "So I'm looking forward to it as a challenge, and I'm ready."

The 6-foot-5 Big Ten player of the year and first-team All-American turns 22 this year, so she was eligible to leave after her redshirt sophomore season.
