The WNBA draft begins at 6pm tonight in New York City, and Carlie Wagner represents Minnesota’s lone possible prospect.
To be clear, the odds are not good for being drafted. Wagner is not an All-American nor exceptionally tall and mobile, which means that she is obviously not a first round prospect. In the women’s game, if those do not apply to you it is difficult to project if the WNBA is a legitimate possibility.
With that said, Wagner has three advantages. First, she can shoot. Last season she was a 41% shooter from behind the arc, and has the ability to score in a variety of ways.
