The University of Minnesota women's volleyball team wouldn't be denied the program's first Big Ten championship since 2002.
The No. 4 Gophers (25-5) came from behind two sets Wednesday night to clinch at least a share of the conference title after a five-set victory over No. 16 Ohio State at the Sports Pavilion.
After dropping the first two sets, 27-25 and 31-29, Minnesota battled back to win three straight, 25-17, 25-15 and 15-9. Hannah Tapp and Sara Wilhite had 20 kills each. Daly Santana, who played in her last regular-season home match, added 17 kills.
The Gophers, 17-2 in Big Ten play, can win the conference championship outright with a victory at Indiana on Saturday.
