Utah State offensive lineman Karter Shaw to transfer to Minnesota

Utah State offensive guard Karter Shaw has announced his plans to transfer to the University of Minnesota. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Utah State finished the 2020 season 1-5, and Shaw started all six games at right guard for the Aggies. He has been a starter at Utah State since his redshirt freshman season, when he started all 13 of their games at right guard. Shaw is also familiar with Minnesota offensive co-coordinator Mike Sanford Jr., who held the same position with the Aggies in 2019.

The NCAA has delayed plans to approve a proposal that would grant student-athletes one-time immediate transfer eligibility.
