Unbeaten Gophers women complete sweep over UMD

Dani Cameranesi and Kelly Pannek had three points each to lead Minnesota to a 6-1 win over Minnesota Duluth on Saturday at Ridder Arena for a sweep of their WCHA series.

Minnesota (8-0-0, 6-0-0) won 5-2 on Friday night.

After setting up Brook Garzone for the only goal of the first period, Cameranesi, who is tied with teammate Hannah Brandt for second in scoring in the league (9 goals, 9 assists), scored twice in the second period.

Pannek, who is fourth in the WCHA in scoring (9 goals, 17 points), had a goal and two assists.
