Tracy Claeys knows his defense can't hesitate in next Thursday's season-opener against second-ranked Texas Christian.
"If you don't come ready to play full speed and play the way you are supposed to, they will bury you and score 70 points," the Gophers defensive coordinator said. "They will embarrass you if you have a bad day."
TCU scored 70-plus points only once during a 12-1 campaign in 2014, but the Horned Frogs were the second-highest scoring team in FBS with at 46.5-point average.
It all starts with dual-threat quarterback Trevone Boykin, a Heisman Trophy favorite after finishing fourth a year ago.
