University of Minnesota golfers Jon DuToit and Jose Mendez have been named to the PING All-Midwest Region Team.
The Golf Coaches Association of America announced 155 Division I honorees across six regions. The Gophers had multiple selections for the first time since 2011, when Donald Constable and Erik Van Rooyen were chosen.
DuToit, a junior, had a 73.35 scoring average this season. He tied for third at the Big Ten championships, his third career top-25 finish at the conference tournament.
Mendez, a sophomore, received all-region acclaim for the second time. He competed in the NCAA Bremerton Regional after finishing in a tie for fifth at the conference tournament.
