University of Minnesota athletic director Mark Coyle has released the following statement in advance of a press conference later this evening addressing today’s firing of head football coach Tracy Claeys:
Coyle Announces Change To Football Coaching Staff, Media Availability Set For Tonight
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Jan. 3, 2017) – University of Minnesota Athletics Director Mark Coyle today relieved Gophers football coach Tracy Claeys of his duties, along with most of the rest of the coaching staff. Some staff will remain with the program during the transition to a new coaching staff.
