MINNEAPOLIS -- In the final game the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers are scheduled to play at TCF Bank Stadium – the home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers – the game was delayed in the first quarter by a different kind of rodent.
Before the Packers’ first drive of the game, a squirrel ran on the field, causing a brief delay in the game while a Vikings official chased it to the sideline.
The Packers drove for a field goal after the delay to take a 3-0 lead.
