Roundup: Ohio State Clinches First Big Ten Title

CHN Staff Report

It hasn't been easy getting there, but Ohio State finally clinched the Big Ten championship after a 3-3 tie with Michigan, followed by a win in the 3-on-3 overtime session. In fact, it is Ohio State's first regular-season championship in the program's history since the first year of the old CCHA in 1971-72.

The Buckeyes followed up a seven-game win streak by losing twice at home to Minnesota last weekend, letting in an uncharacteristic eight goals on the weekend. The team was buoyed by the return of center Tanner Laczynski, but still added another loss this Friday, 4-2, at Michigan.
