In Notre Dame's nine-game winning streak, it has three 1-0 wins, including the last two games. But Saturday, the offense burst out for a five-goal effort in a 5-2 win that completed a sweep of Minnesota in South Bend.
Goaltender Cale Morris made 40 of 42 saves for his second straight 40-plus save performance.
“I thought we were much better tonight than last (night), although we took some bad penalties," Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson said. "I thought we put ourselves in a bad position sometimes with some of the penalties that we took, but other than that, five-on-five, I was very pleased.
