Rem Pitlick, who had a hat trick Friday, redirected a shot with 1:33 left in overtime to give Minnesota a weekend sweep of Penn State, 4-3, on Saturday.
In a wild third period, Minnesota tied the game with 3.5 seconds left in regulation. Taylor Cammarata was able to squeeze the puck back off a faceoff, and Justin Kloos roofed a shot past PSU goaltender Peyton Jones to send the game to overtime.
That had come just after Penn State freshman Denis Smirnov had given the Nittany Lions the lead on a penalty shot goal, when he put a nifty backhander past Eric Schierhorn.
