Joey Benik had four goals and two assists to lead St. Cloud State to an 11-1 win at Western Michigan on Saturday, completing a weekend sweep. David Morley added a goal and four assists.
“We got a couple of chances early and scored on them and had a lead going into the second (period), which was big,” Benik told the St. Cloud Times. “It turned into an ugly game, but we had a strong first period and we knew we had to have that after (Friday) night’s game.
