LOVELAND, Colo. — It’s fitting that in the program’s 100th season, the Golden Gophers got the NCAA postseason off to a roaring start in, of all places, the Centennial State.

Minnesota, the third overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, exerted its will on Nebraska-Omaha from start to finish. When it was all said and done, the score read 7-2 Gophers.

The onslaught started early, with Mason Nevers notching his first career goal only five-plus minutes in, cleaning up a rebound to the side of Isaiah Saville’s crease.
