Rachel Banham and Carlie Wagner scored 20 points each, and Minnesota earned its eighth straight win over Wisconsin, defeating the Badgers 84-77 on Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.
After putting Minnesota up 21-15 to end the first quarter, Wagner scored the next six points, and the Gophers connected on four three-pointers en route to a 42-30 halftime lead.
Minnesota (13-6, 5-3 Big Ten) led by 23 points before Wisconsin got back into the game in the fourth quarter.
But 18 second-half points by Banham helped the Gophers hold on for their third consecutive conference victory and moved the fifth-year senior into 37th place on the NCAA's all-time career scoring list, passing Candice Wiggins (Stanford) and Korie Hlede (Duquesne).
