Kamal Martin, a 6-foot-3, 211-pound quarterback from Burnsville (MN) High, recently committed to Minnesota after previously verballing to Eastern Michigan.
Martin helped lead the Blaze to a 4-6 mark last season, losing to eventual state champion Eden Prairie 34-14 in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.
Gopher Hole recently caught up with Martin to learn the latest on his recruitment.
Gopher Hole: You committed to Minnesota recently. Do you already feel a little bit of weight off your shoulder having everything done and now you can focus on your senior season?
Kamal Martin: I have already picked my school and got all that figured out, so I can just focus on this team and just go out and give 100% to this season.
