Bob Motzko was officially introduced today as the new head coach at Minnesota, returning to where he was an assistant on two national championship teams before becoming head coach at St. Cloud State for the last 13 years.
Motzko was hired just days after his highly-favored team was defeated in the First Round of the NCAA tournament last Friday, and was wooed even earlier than that.
"It was overhwleming how fast it is. We played Friday night — and we're a pretty good team — and we got beat. Your heart is ripped out," Motzko said.
