The New York Rangers signed Minnesota defenseman Ryan Lindgren to an entry-level contract.
Lindgren, 20, had two goals and nine points in 35 games this season for the Gophers, and added 51 penalty minutes. He played in 67 games over two seasons at Minnesota, with 3-13—16 and 116 penalty minutes. Lindgren was selected to the Big Ten's All-Rookie Team and was an Honorable Mention for the Big Ten All-Star Team during his freshman year in 2016-17.
The 6-foot, 202-pounder has represented the United States in several tournaments.
