Minnesota's Grit and Grease Lead Gophers to Frozen Four

WORCESTER, Mass. — Minnesota's roster is loaded with 14 NHL Draft picks, and that doesn't include Ben Meyers, the team's captain, who will almost certainly sign an NHL deal once the Gophers' season comes to a close.

But, that's going to have to wait a few more weeks.

Minnesota shut down Western Michigan on Sunday, 3-0, at the DCU Center in Worcester and advance to the Frozen Four in Boston in two weeks. It's Minnesota's first trip to the Frozen Four since 2014 and the first trip there for Bob Motzko as head coach of the Gophers.
