Minnesota Soccer falls to Wisconsin, Remains at top of Big Ten

Last Friday night the Minnesota Golden Gophers soccer team lost their first Big Ten game of the season, falling 1-0 to Wisconsin. While this did cause their national ranking to fall, they remain in sole possession of 1st place in the Big Ten. With two games this week, will Minnesota return to its winning ways?

The Minnesota Gophers soccer team had been having a great season, having defeated multiple ranked teams and starting 4-0 in Big Ten play earning a #11 ranking along the way. However, last Friday night Minnesota received a wake-up call falling to an unranked but still strong Wisconsin team.
