The Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s golf team won their first team title since September of 2019, and Gopher senior Angus Flanagan won his second tournament in a row as both took home first place honors at the Get R Done Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Gophers as a team shot their best round of the year on Sunday a five under par 279 to move from second place after the first two rounds on Saturday into a first place tie with Kansas State for the title. But the most impressive performance was by Flanagan. He shot a five under par 66 by himself including an incredible start of shooting a -5 31 through his first nine holes.
