Minnesota defeated an Ohio State university 84-71 at Williams Arena. The Gophers dominated the number three team in the nation for the entirety of the game. Marcus Carr had his best college basketball game ever to lead all scorers with 35 points.
Let us now sing the praises of a point guard playing at a high level. Marcus Carr has had an up and down season so far, but it has been clear that he has tons of potential. Tonight he showed what that potential might be, and it was wonderful. Those aforementioned 35 points is the most by any player in a win against a top 25 opponent this season.
