Both Gophers teams won on Friday night....can we get double Battle Hymn tonight???
Friday night was a successful one for Minnesota's two hockey programs as the Gopher Women got over there usual early Friday slow start to come from behind to beat UMD 5-2, and the Gopher Men scored early and often in route to a 4-0 win over Northeastern.
The Gopher Women have been starting slowly on Friday night all season thus far, and last night was no different. UMD scored first on the power play and took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. UMD would make it 2-0 on thier second power play goal on the night.
