Overall record seems to be the biggest indicator for evaluating the strength of a collegiate football program; however, one statistic has proven to be more important for analyzing these programs and where they’re headed—the number of players that a team sends to the NFL Draft. The reason is simple; most top recruits expect to go to the NFL, but they want to make sure that the college they choose will help them get there.

Programs that consistently send players to the NFL often times have the most success and best recruiting classes compared to the rest.
