On Thursday it was announced that Minnesota Gophers senior running back Mohamed Ibrahim was named to the First Team Offense of the Walter Camp Preseason All-American Team. The reigning Big Ten Running Back of the Year is earning lots of preseason attention as the official “Watch List Season: kicks off.
In 2020 Ibrahim was a monster for the Gophers on the field. He led the Big Ten in rushing attempts with 201, rushing yards with 1,076, yards per game with 153.7, touchdowns with 15, points with 90, and all-purpose yards per game at 168.4. He set a Gopher school record with his rushing yards per game tally, and tied another with his four rushing TD’s in one game—twice at Maryland and at Illinois.
