Paul Bunyan’s Axe is one of the best rivalry trophies in college football and has not been in Minnesota since 2003. The Gophers have put up 17 points in the first half on a very good Wisconsin defense and hold a 17-7 lead at the break.
Minnesota fans are not getting ahead of ourselves, it’s in our nature. But the Gopher offense is playing confident behind a very good half from Mitch Leidner and the offensive line.
Leidner is 7/11 for 111 yards, 1 touchdown (and a dropped touchdown). He also has 60 yards on the ground for the team’s other touchdown.
