If you have followed us for a while, you know that during the NFL season we like to weekly publish an article updating how all the former Gophers in the NFL did that past week. With the prolific increase in Minnesota players getting drafted in recent seasons, the number of Gophers in the NFL has climbed significantly over time. As of August 3rd, there are seventeen former Gophers in NFL training camps. While not all 17 will make the teams final roster, a good number will and several more should end up on practice squads.
Note that beginning this season there is no initial and then final cuts at NFL training camps.
