Minnesota Football: Cornerback Coney Durr will return for the 2021 season

Hours after one Minnesota Golden Gophers’ starting cornerback, Benjamin St.-Juste, announced he would be foregoing his remaining college eligibility and declaring for the NFL Draft, senior cornerback Coney Durr took to Twitter on Sunday to let Gopher fans know he will be taking advantage of his extra year of eligibility and remaining at Minnesota.

Durr is a fifth-year senior and just finished his third season as a starter for the Gophers, tallying 25 total tackles, five pass break-ups, and one interception.

Other seniors who could return next season for Minnesota are wide receivers Seth Green and Clay Geary, tight ends Ko Kieft and Bryce Witham, offensive linemen Conner Olson and Sam Schlueter, defensive tackles Keonte Schad and Micah Dew-Treadway, and cornerbacks Phil Howard and Justus Harris.
