Gopher offensive lineman Connor Mayes, who would be a senior this fall, announced earlier today that he is transferring from Minnesota.
Mayes started the first five games of last season at left guard, before alternating with Vincent Calhoun at right guard for four games after that. He was not in the starting five for the final three games of the regular season, but did receive the starting nod at right guard for the Holiday Bowl.
This is the second starting offensive lineman to transfer from the program. Sophomore starting center Tyler Moore announced he was transferring to Oklahoma State back in January.
