Minnesota defeated Maryland 93-74 against the Barn. It was the team’s third win against a Top-25 opponent this season and first Top-10 win since February 2016. In addition, yesterday was the first win for the program against the Terrapins. With the win, the Gophers move to 21-6 on the season and 10-4 in conference play with two games remaining.
Destiny Pitts, Kenisha Bell, and Gadiva Hubbard all had 20 point games, and Carlie Wagner added 17 on the night. The Gophers put on a blistering shooting performance, putting up an effective shooting percentage of 63% behind 14-24 shooting from the three point line.
