The college hockey world was dealt a blow this week when Merrimack assistant coach Josh Ciocco, 38, died at his home near the Merrimack campus.
Ciocco was a former captain at New Hampshire and also had coaching stops along the way at Alaska Anchorage and Brown.
My relationship with Josh centered exclusively around hockey. We exchanged texts a few times when he was at Brown, but we obviously spoke more once he was hired at Merrimack. As many of you know, in addition to my duties here at CHN, I've covered Merrimack College for The Eagle Tribune since 2006.
