The University of Minnesota officially announced Friday that football coach Jerry Kill was given a one year contract extension and a $300,000 raise per season for the rest of the contract. That raise will bring Kill's annual salary to $2.5 Million, good enough for 8th in the Big Ten.
Talks had been occurring between Kill and the University since January after the Gophers made their first New Years Day Bowl game since 1962 with one of the major negotiating points for Kill being raises for his assistant coaches and support staff. This is the second time in a year and a half that Kill's contract has been reworked.
