Four east metro athletes were announced as part of the Gophers women's track and field team's 15-member recruiting class.
Eagan's Maddie Gourley, Eastview's Natalie Manders and Cretin-Derham Hall's Briesha Hunter and Jenna Conzemius are part of a class that features 10 Minnesotans.
Hunter is a two-time state champion. She won the 100- and 400-meter dashes at the 2014 Class 2A state meet. Manders is the defending Class 2A state champion in the discus
Also in the class are Bethany and Megan Hasz -- the twin sisters from Alexandria who finished 1-2 at each of the past three Class 2A state cross-country meets.
