Amanda Leveille posted her 24th career shutout and Minnesota remained unscored upon this season in defeating St. Cloud State 7-0 in a WCHA women's hockey opener Friday night at Ridder Arena.
The Gophers (3-0-0 overall) outshot the Huskies 38-5 and scored four third-period goals to win easily.
Dani Cameranesi scored two goals for Minnesota. Kelly Pannek, Milica McMillen and Kate Schipper recorded three points each.
"It was a great win here tonight," coach Brad Frost said. "I looked up to the board to see us giving up five shots, and you're going to win a lot of hockey games doing that.
