Rachel Banham matched her career high with 39 points and set a school record with 10 three-pointers to lead the Gophers women's basketball team past Illinois 106-75 on Thursday night in Champaign, Ill.
Banham shot 67 percent overall (14 of 21) and from three-point range (10 of 15) as Minnesota (10-4, 2-1 Big Ten) earned its first victory at Illinois in six years.
Banham, a senior from Lakeville, broke the Gophers' school single-game record of nine three-pointers set by Stacy Carver against Boise State in 1992.
The Gophers sank 19 three-pointers, tying a school record for a Big Ten game.
