Rachel Banham had 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead the Gophers women's basketball team past New Jersey Institute of Technology 83-50 Monday night at Williams Arena.
Minnesota posted a season-high 14 steals in closing the nonconference portion of its schedule with an 8-3 record.
"It's an exciting part of the year," coach Marlene Stollings said. "The next two months is where separation occurs, and we're going into it 8-3. It's a good place to be in terms of our goals in getting an NCAA Tournament (berth), and getting Rachel there for the first time.
