Entering Friday's match at No. 3 Nebraska (16-2), the No. 9-ranked Gophers (15-3) have a 4-1 road record in the Big Ten, with their only loss against then-No. 1 Penn State in five sets.
When asked if there's a secret to that success, coach Hugh McCutcheon said his team has been able to generate energy without relying on the crowd.
"It becomes a grind; you've got to create your energy.
