As expected, it was all Minnesota in the first exhibition game of the season as the Gophers took down the hated Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears 106-58.
Jordan Murphy led all scorers with 22 points, Nate Mason flashed his shooting prowess and Gopher Nation was formally introduced to the Jelly in a blowout against the D-II opponent.
It’s hard to really trust your eyes in a game like this but at the very least it’s exciting to see the team firing on all cylinders and get a glimpse of everyone in action. It’s especially fun to get long looks at newcomers* Isaiah Washington, Jamir Harris and Davonte Fitzgerald who offered a preview of what’s to come.
